How to Adjust the Handle & Get it to 90 Degrees (Flat/Down)
The handle is designed with safety and stability in mind, which is why you are experiencing some resistance.
For Length: To adjust how long or short the handle extends, you simply use the silver locking beads/buttons located on the metal shaft itself.
For the Angle (Getting it to 90°/Flat): Your wagon handle has 3 specific angle positions. It is intentionally designed with strong resistance so that the handle doesn’t accidentally slam down to the ground on its own. The 90-degree flat position has the strongest resistance. Please try pushing the handle down with a bit more firm, steady force. Once it passes that resistance point, it will click smoothly into the flat position.
How the Brakes Work (Locking and Unlocking)
You do need to give them a firm push! Because the brakes need to hold a fully loaded wagon in place, the springs inside are quite stiff when the wagon is brand new.
To Lock: Press down firmly on the brake pedal with your foot until you feel or hear it click into place.
To Unlock: Lift the brake pedal upward firmly using the top of your shoe. Don't be afraid to apply some pressure—it is built to be durable and secure!
Fully Collapsing the Handle (Shortening It)
Just in case you meant shortening the handle completely when you mentioned "break down": besides the silver beads, there is a main release button on the handle mechanism. We have attached a reference photo to this email to show you exactly where to press to collapse it fully.
